Bagni San Fillippo - Tuscany Hot Springs
Before we left Australia I had started reading about the natural hot springs located in different parts of Tuscany and had definitiely planned to visit at least one while we were there.
For the most part it was raining during our Tuscany visit, so on our second last day we though it a perfect time to go for a bit of an adventure in search of some of these hot springs.
We has been given Vague directions to a few terme locations from Francesco, the owner of the B&B we were staying in and so we set off just after breakfast.
Bagni San Fillippo was our most sucessful stop and to get to the springs you park on the side of a windy road just before a tiny town and follow an unsigned track into the forest.
At first we thought we might have the wrong spot but then as we continued we got a slight waft of sulphur and knew we were on the right track. All of a sudden the blinding white of the sulphur mountain came into view and I though I had never seen anything more surreal or beautiful.
